The Seasonal Bushfire Outlook for autumn 2025 identifies a heightened risk of fire for patchy areas between Perth and Carnarvon in WA, and stretching across most of the Australian mainland's southern coastline to southwest Gippsland in Victoria.

The Shire is seeking quotes for the delivery of mitigation works to protect assets and manage areas of significant risk from wildfire. A number of mitigation treatments are planned for the period July-November 2025 including form chemical application, machine cleanup, fire-break work, slashing and bridge assets vegetation management totalling 84 hectares. All quotes should be submitted by 11 April 2025.
