Our Council

The Shire of Goomalling Council and staff work together to provide support and leadership for our rural community.

We are a proactive, innovative and sustainable Council that benefits all residents in the Shire of Goomalling.

A good working relationship exists with all sporting bodies and community groups.

Landcare, community development and sport and recreation have been identified as priority areas and officers have been appointed to develop and manage plans to enhance the environment and quality of life for our residents and visitors.

Strategic Plan

 

The Shire of Goomalling's Strategic Community Plan 2013-2023 has been developed in partnership with the Goomalling community through a series of surveys, focus groups and public forums. The aim of this long-term plan is to be a guide for Council's business planning and service delivery to reflect the aspirations and values of our community.

Building on the objectives laid out in our Strategic Plan, the following more specific plans have been developed:

Minutes

 

The minutes of Ordinary Meetings of the Goomalling Shire Council are available for perusal at the Shire administration office and published online within 10 days after the meeting is held. They are unconfirmed at the time of publishing and will be confirmed by Council at their subsequent meeting.

Council Meetings 

 

Ordinary meetings of the Goomalling Shire Council will be held on the third Wednesday of each month (except January and February) in the Goomalling Shire Council Chambers, 32 Quinlan Street, Goomalling. There is No meeting in January and the February meeting is held the first week of the month.

Financial Reports

The Annual Reports are made available on our webpage as soon as they are finalised. They are also presented to the public on the Annual General Meeting of Electors, generally held in February/March each year.

Annual budget

The Annual Budget is made available online after it has been adopted by Council, at the start of the new financial year.

Councillors Goomalling has seven Councilors elected for four-year terms. They are passionate about our district and actively plan the future direction of Goomalling to guarantee its sustainability into the future.
Staff The council employs around 35 staff including trainees and apprentices.
