Join us for our April Every Club Education Session on Concussion Education.

 

There is growing concern in Australia and internationally about the incidence of sport-related concussion and potential health ramifications for athletes. It's important this is managed within clubs and ensuring they have correct policies, procedures and information to make informed and accurate decisions. 

 

Local Government Authorities (LGA's) have the ability to assist clubs to manage concussion and great a whole of community approach across sporting codes.

Time: 10.00 - 11.00 am

Who: Club (or Community) Development Officer from LGA's

 

Content covered will include:

  • Background on recent concussion research
  • Where to find correct and current information
  • How clubs should be managing concussion within their sports
  • Provide LGAs with information that can be shared to clubs and where they should be directed for information on concussion
  • Overview of providers for training at LGA and club level
  • Practical examples of concussion management techniques in clubs

 

You will have the opportunity to contribute to the agenda by providing us with information on concussion you would like discussed through sign up.
